Dr. Allan L. Bernstein, M.D., is a neurologist certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He has been involved in clinical practice, teaching and research for over 30 years and is the author of more than 50 articles and book chapters in major medical publications covering the areas of stroke, memory loss, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, headache, pain, nutrition, vitamins and multiple sclerosis.
Dr. Bernstein's background includes college and medical school in upstate New York, training in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles and residency in neurology at Boston University. He has been on the teaching faculty of Boston University, UC Davis and currently UCSF. His practice includes adults and children and is focused on the diagnosis and management of all types of neurologic diseases. His practice also focuses on difficult headaches, balance problems, unusual weakness and numbness, dizziness, lapses in consciousness and movement disorders of all types
