Dr. Gerald Tramontano is currently medical director at the NeuroCognitive Institute in Mt. Arlington, New Jersey, where he directs services for their outpatient memory disorder clinics within geriatrics in the Department of Medicine. NCI is affiliated with St. Barnabas Medical Center and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. He also provides neuropsychological consultation and liaison services at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center.
Prior to entering private practice Dr. Tramontano was the director of the Traumatic Brain Injury Program at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. He has completed approximately 50 clinical trials, and has over 12 years of experience in early through late drug development as a psychopharmacologist. This includes identifying, selecting and developing several novel diagnostic and therapeutic compounds (currently under clinical research development), designing clinical research studies, and launching multinational trials, while navigating through international regulatory processes and overseeing these projects until completion. His clinical research expertise is within the neurosciences - more specifically, dementia producing neurodegenerative diseases and other cognitive disorders. Dr. Tramontano is currently a Lead principal investigator for Exodon - a drug development company.
